After another excellent year of growth, our client is looking for professional, enthusiastic people to join their Research & Development (R&D) tax team on a full-time basis.
Working as part of a skilled team, you will write comprehensive and technical R&D reports on behalf of their clients for submission to HMRC. Please note, this is not a finance or accountancy based role.
Working from the clients’ offices in central Norwich, you will join their existing dynamic team on a starting salary of £25,000 (rising to £27k after probation) with a transparent 4-year progression plan to earning £40,000 within 4 years of starting.
Main duties:
- Conducting research on R&D and innovation in our target sectors (predominantly Architecture & Engineering)
- Working with directors of innovative start-ups and small businesses across the UK, writing reports on their R&D activities on behalf of them
- Attending client meetings and taking comprehensive notes on their projects
- Researching and staying up to date with any UK tax developments, and how they could benefit our clients
While some knowledge of tax is an added bonus, it is by no means essential as we offer full training for you to achieve professional accreditation’s (ATT-CTA) after completing a 6-month probation period.
Skills needed:
- Graduate with a minimum 2:2 degree (Humanities preferred but not essential)
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail are essential as 80% of this role involves written work, 20% financial/tax work
- Be a good listener and verbal communicator
- Be adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to learn quickly, and a desire to keep learning and developing professionally
- Be at ease interacting with clients in a professional and competent manner
- Work well as part of a team, but is also able to focus independently
- An interest in business and the way companies work is beneficial
You will need your own mode of transport to get to the office.
