As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the finance team, leading the way in the production of monthly financial management reports, annual budget setting, and managing a talented small team to ensure the delivery of accurate and relevant financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
As Finance Manager, your specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Leading and overseeing the completion of monthly budget statements, analysing trends and variances in accordance with the organisation’s monthly reporting timetable.
- Preparing consolidated financial monthly reports and forecasts, conducting in-depth analysis of trends and variances.
- Ensuring timely completion of all required financial adjustments and journals for different divisions, including accruals, prepayments, and budget transfers.
- Providing up-to-date, accurate, and actionable financial management information with a focus on operational involvement and ownership, taking into consideration performance to date, cost pressures, and known risks and variances from the plan.
- Delivering a robust financial management service to the organisation and Finance Partners, collaborating closely with budget holders and other finance colleagues, and participating in meetings when necessary.
- Working closely with the Head of Finance to support ad hoc project work aimed at driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience of team management.
- Proven experience in financial management and reporting, with a strong understanding of complex financial data analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and relevant financial reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
