Successful manufacturing organisation based in Thetford is looking to appoint an Accounting Supervisor. You will oversee the A/P, A/R, Payroll and general accounting to ensure the reporting of timely, accurate and reliable financial information and assist the Financial Controller in development and improvement of systems and quality of information produced.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable – Weekly review of A/P ledger
- Reconciliation and checking of Monthly accounts payable trial balance reports
- Checking of A/P invoices Accounts Receivable
- Reconciling sub-ledger to General ledger on a monthly basis
- Responsible for Monthly A/R aging reports
- Processing of the Bi-weekly payroll for all staff.
- Obtaining the necessary authorisations prior to submission of payroll data to bank for payment
- Creation of Monthly P/L by department / customer
- Project Analysis to assist non-financial managers to make relevant business decisions
- Cost of sales entries
- Variance Analysis
- Ad-hoc projects encouraging cost control throughout the business
You will have a minimum of three years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel, and exposure to a menu driven accounting system. In addition strong organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines plus the ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organisation.
