Privately owned service business operating a dynamic and proactive environment, is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant. This is a newly created role reporting to the Financial Controller. You will play a key role in managing the transactional side for a group of busy and growing companies.
Your main duties will include:
- Accounts payable; posting invoices – maintaining & reconciling Purchase Ledger
- Accounts receivable; weekly invoicing – maintaining & reconciling Sales ledger
- Credit control of outstanding invoices and overdue accounts, chasing debt
- Completing daily bank reconciliation, posting and allocating receipts & payments on both supplier and customer accounts
- Process weekly payroll
- Communicating and interacting with suppliers and customers, account & statement reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Controller with any other ad hoc duties as required
You will have relevant accounts experience, good Excel skills, the ability to problem solve, multi-task and have a positive hands-on, proactive attitude. Sage 50 experience would be an advantage.
