Assistant Accountant
An independent firm of accountants based in Norwich is seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships for review.
- Tax Preparation: Assist with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns and VAT returns.
- Bank Reconciliations: Carry out regular bank reconciliations for clients.
- Bookkeeping: Handle bookkeeping tasks for a select number of clients.
- Client Communication: Respond to client queries via phone and email, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
Candidate Requirements:
- AAT Qualified or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accountancy bookkeeping software such as Sage, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
