We are working exclusively with this privately owned business who have experienced consistent growth over the last 5 years. This Finance Manager role is a newly created position and will manage the finance administration team and have full responsibility for the day to day running of the Company’s finance function, including period end recording.
Your main duties will include the following:
- Timely production of monthly management accounts, stock and sales analysis reports
- Produce a month end commentary to highlight any variances against the budget, and the performance compared to the previous year
- Managing all day to day accounting operations such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Stock Processing and Costing.
- Produce daily sales KPI reports
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for all aspects of the company activities and monitor each element against the actual performance
- Prepare, maintain and monitor annual cashflow forecasts
- Manage all bank reconciliations (GBP and FOREX) and investigate any discrepancies
- To be responsible for the timely submission of all HMRC and VAT returns
- Complete all required government reports and liaise with third parties including the bank
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Accountant within a small to medium sized organisation. You will have strong communication skills with supervisory experience, have a positive attitude and the ability to make sound decisions and routine problems using initiative.
