Big Sky Additions is pleased to be supporting an established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a varied finance role which incorporates all aspects of a finance function, as well as providing the opportunity to input into the wider strategic direction of the organisation (such as fund raising and marketing) through being a member of the Senior Management Team. The organisation offers a flexible and supportive working environment with a small but strong and hugely dedicated team. Working closely with the Executive team the role will include:
Financial
- Manage the day-to-day finances and maintain all financial records, including raising invoices, making payments, processing receipts, administering VAT, etc.
- Maintain and develop financial integrity, providing a clear transactional audit trail.
- Manage the organisation’s payroll, PAYE and pension schemes.
- Preparing monthly management accounts as required by the Board of Trustees.
- Manage the annual external audit process,
Strategic
- Prepare annual income and expenditure budget, including salary review and budget savings recommendations.
- Provide accurate forecasts of core and project expenditure and of income requirements.
- Undertake business and financial planning and budget management process.
- Provide financial information for funding bids, grant applications and investment agreements
- Attend quarterly Board meetings and provide financial management information
- Provide Company Secretary support to the Board of Trustees.
Candidates will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) with strong experience in managing a full finance function. Experience of working in not-for-profit sector or Charity would be an advantage. Able to work in and contribute to a small dedicated team environment.
An attractive salary is offered for a 3 days / 22.5 hours a week. £ 28,000 – £ 32,000 pro rata according to experience. . Closing date for applications is 5th October. Interviews will take place 11th and 12th of October
