A growing FMCG business is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to take ownership of group reporting, financial control, and cash management activities across UK and international operations. The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and controls. This position will oversee the management accounts process, lead a small finance team, and support operational and commercial decision-making.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place and documented across the business.
- Lead on compliance for statutory reporting, VAT, PAYE, and audit preparation (UK and overseas).
- Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
- Oversee the purchase ledger and ensure supplier payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage, support and develop junior finance staff, fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
About You
- Part or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong systems knowledge with hands-on ERP experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Experience managing or mentoring team members.
