​​​​​​​International manufacturing company based near Wymondham requires a senior level Purchasing Manager. You will lead a purchasing team to achieve timely supplier nomination, cost reduction and contract management,  ensuring a stable and secure supply chain at the lowest possible cost.

Key responsibilities include leading source programmes for direct material, identifying and leading the team cost savings opportunities and driving purchase performance in line with business objectives. Developing and implementing commodity strategies across the business, influencing the companies global sourcing strategy deployment.  Working in partnership with all group platforms and developing the supplier base to meet cost, quality and on time delivery requirements as well as developing new suppliers.

The successful individual will have in-depth related vendor management experience, a proven track record in developing and implementing commodity strategies to deliver improved supplier cost performance, extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of purchasing and negotiating. Experience with ERP systems are beneficial.
