The Role:
We are seeking ambitious and enthusiastic graduates with experience in the built environment to join our clients’ dynamic R&D Team. This is an exceptional opportunity to kick-start your professional career in a friendly, supportive, and motivated environment. As a Graduate Tax Advisor, you will:
- Conduct research on R&D and innovation in target sectors.
- Work with directors of innovative start-ups and businesses across the UK.
- Write comprehensive and technical R&D reports for submission to HMRC.
- Attend client meetings and take detailed notes on their projects.
- Stay updated with UK tax developments and how they could benefit our clients.
This role involves extensive written work (80%) and some financial/tax work (20%). While knowledge of tax is beneficial, it is not essential, as we provide full training to achieve professional accreditation (ATT-CTA) after a 6-month probation period.
What We Are Looking For:
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- A minimum 2:2 degree in architecture, urban planning, real estate development, or a related field.
- Experience working in a UK architectural office or planning office for at least 1-2 years.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Planning and Building Regulations.
- Strong interest in sustainable construction methods.
- Knowledge of RIBA work stages 2-7 (concept design/planning drawings to technical drawings, manufacture, and construction).
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to learn quickly and a desire for continuous professional development.
- Comfort in interacting professionally with clients.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive starting salary of £25,000, rising to £27,000 post-probation.
