Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable Assistant
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day sales ledger activity, ensuring accounts are accurate, payments are received on time and outstanding balances are managed effectively.
You’ll be joining a successful business with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects, working with customers across a range of specialist markets. The Role
- Raising sales invoices and credit notes, and maintaining the daily sales register
- Allocating customer payments and reconciling the sales ledger to the general ledger
- Monitoring outstanding balances and following up overdue payments
- Dealing with customer account queries and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing aged debt reports and reviewing overdue accounts
- Leading weekly accounts receivable meetings to review outstanding balances
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting improvements to finance processes
About You
You’ll have previous experience in a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role and be confident managing customer accounts and resolving payment queries.
You’ll be organised, accurate and comfortable communicating with colleagues and customers at different levels. Experience using SAP would be useful, but isn’t essential.
