Senior Accountant – Accountancy Practice – Norwich

This well-regarded independent practice supports a broad mix of owner-managed businesses and private clients across Norfolk. Combining traditional advisory values with modern cloud accounting systems, the firm is continuing to expand and is now looking to appoint a confident Senior Accountant to strengthen the team.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time, office-based role in Norwich where you will take ownership of your own portfolio. You will be trusted to manage compliance work efficiently while also identifying opportunities to provide added-value advice.
- Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts
- Completing Corporation Tax and Self-Assessment returns
- Overseeing VAT, CIS and payroll-related queries where required
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including QuickBooks and Xero
- Reviewing bookkeeping work and ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Acting as a key point of contact, offering practical and proactive guidance
What We’re Looking For
- Strong recent experience within UK accountancy practice
- Confident preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of cloud-based systems such as Xero and/or QuickBooks
- Up-to-date understanding of UK tax compliance
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- AAT qualified or studying/qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA – though practical experience is equally valued
- Able to work on-site in Norwich
