Established manufacturing business based in Great Yarmouth is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant to add value to their finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing all phases of cost accounting to provide accurate information for financial reporting and support of the Company’s manufacturing processes.
This position is a key part of the month and year-end close process and is responsible for financial analysis and reporting. You will manage all daily, weekly and monthly accounting, coordinate month and year-end inventory costing and valuation, cycle counting, reserves and work order review. Review of month-end cost accounting journal entries and closing activities for inventory accounts. Provide effective analysis and understanding of actual results, budget development and variance reporting to senior management by developing insightful reporting. Maintain a review of standard cost system, including bill of materials, product routings and methods.
You will have strong relevant cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, knowledge of ERP based systems together with a sound understanding of accounting principles.
