A key role to provide technical and strategic financial advice and expertise to managers and budget holders within this public sector organisation. The post holder will be required to: –
- Co-ordinate in the production of the Medium Term Financial Strategies and Plan and annual budget
- Ensure the provision of the financial budgetary control through planning , monitoring and review
- Undertake project work as required, including researching and producing business cases, capital and revenue estimates, costings, bids for external funding
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or have strong experience . Able to demonstrate:-
- Experience of developing 3 year capital and revenue budgets
- The ability to implement innovative approaches and identify new options for service development
- The ability to understand, interpret and advise on complex financial legislation.
- The ability to develop financial solutions for the practical implementation of corporate plans
- The ability to produce and present clear, concise and balanced written reports
