An opportunity with a major housing provider to join the finance team and lead on the process for service charges such as grounds maintenance, communal heating and cleaning. The role will ensure the production of robust service charge budgets, statements and accounts and that accurate records are maintained.
- Dealing with customer and internal queries arising from service charge accounts
- Reviewing costs posted to ensure they are accurately captured and recharge;.
- Consulting Tenants, Leaseholders, Shared Owners and Freeholders on service charges.
- Supporting in identifying and resolving service charge issues in new build developments and property disposals
- Supporting the Management Accountant with the production of information and analysis
Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of service charging within social housing sector or commercial property rental. Able to lead the Service Charge team. Being pro-active, self-motivated, with excellent communication and presentation skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools. AAT qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA or with relevant experience.
