Location: Norwich
Our client is seeking a highly motivated, focused, and deadline-driven individual for the role of Assistant Management Accountant. The ideal candidate will be organised, possess strong interpersonal skills, and ideally have some management accounts exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Management Accountant with the preparation of regular finance reports and management accounts.
- Support the Senior Purchase Ledger Controller with the processing of staff expenses and purchase invoices.
- Cashflow Forecasting: Regularly prepare detailed cashflow forecasts to ensure optimal financial planning and liquidity management.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Budget Analysis: Prepare and analyse Budget holder reports, providing insights and recommendations to support budget management and decision-making.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded and depreciation is properly accounted for.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
- VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
- Transaction Posting: Accurately post transactions to SAGE 50, maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Some management accounts experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Deadline-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Sage 50 knowledge an advantage but not essential.
