Financial Controller
An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support the next stage of growth.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will manage a small finance team whilst providing the financial and commercial insight needed to support strategic decision-making across the business.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for management reporting, costing, stock and WIP controls, profitability analysis and financial planning. You’ll work closely with operational teams to improve performance, strengthen controls and provide meaningful financial information that supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting
• Lead product costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting
• Oversee stock valuation, WIP controls and working capital management
• Manage month-end and year-end processes
• Support commercial decision-making, pricing and investment projects
• Lead and develop the finance team whilst driving improvements in systems and processes
About You
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong knowledge of costing, stock accounting, WIP management and management reporting is essential, together with the ability to provide commercially focused financial insight to senior stakeholders.
Experience of international operations, R&D tax credits or grant funding would be advantageous.
