Norfolk Day celebrations – Friday 27th July 2018
The inaugural celebration of this fine county – Norfolk Day on Friday 27th July 2018 – is a fantastic opportunity to shout about everything thats great in Norwich and Norfolk.
“We are delighted to get behind this initiative to celebrate this beautiful area where we are so lucky to live and work,” says Norwich accountancy recruitment specialist Emily Burbank of Big Sky Additions.
Businesses, community groups and organisations across Norfolk will celebrate Norfolk Day with more than 200 special events on Friday 27th July 2018. “Its a great indicator of the diversity of the county of Norfolk that these events will celebrate so many unique aspects of the area from its heritage to the stunning landscapes,” added Emily, who specialises in recruiting for full time and part time accountancy jobs in Norfolk.
The team behind Norfolk Day is a collaboration of key media players from BBC Radio Norfolk and the popular local paper, the Eastern Daily Press, partnered with Visit Norfolk, the local tourism board. Norfolk Chamber of Commerce is also closely involved in the day, helping to promote the wide range of thriving businesses in Norfolk and the innovation that goes on here. “As members of the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce we are very aware of the broad spectrum of brilliant businesses on our doorstep, but its great to see Norfolk Day raising the profile of Norfolk companies to a wider audience,” explained Emily, who regularly attends business networking events hosted by the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.
Norfolk Day celebrations have already started with the launch of a Norfolk Day Ale, made by Woodfordes. Norwich’s renowned independent department store, Jarrolds, has a packed programme of special events at its flagship Norwich City Centre store, including food and drink pop ups and live art installations. Norfolk is internationally renowned for the Norfolk Broads, and on Norfolk Day there will be special free boat rides from Richardson’s Stalham Marina, giving visitors the chance to sample a Norfolk Broads boating holiday.
