Of course real life varies somewhat from our dreams, and for many young people receiving recent exam results or freshly graduating, there are big career choices to be made at the moment.
“Sadly our dreams are not always realised and when reality sets in we have to think carefully about a career,” advises accountancy recruitment specialist Sam Holt, who helps employers to fill temporary and permanent accountancy jobs in Norfolk.
“It is one of the most difficult decisions in life we make. For those who are good at maths and have a flair for numbers accountancy can be a very rewarding job, particularly if you can pass AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications along the way. It’s not as glamorous as being an astronaut or a rocket scientist, but its probably easier to get to the top!”
