Visit The King’s Centre for more information!
The King’s Centre was opened in 2003 and is owned and operated by King’s Community Church. It is staffed by members of the church and supported by many volunteers. Their pledge is to help people; whether through hosting regular clients like Big Sky Additions, large conference clients or simply helping people in need.
King’s say “This is why 100% of our net profit from the conference centre and coffee shop goes towards empowering people to walk free from poverty.”
Over the last 2 years, The King’s Centre have distributed over £40,000 to projects that are helping those in poverty, both locally and internationally. At present 75% goes to local projects and 25% internationally.
At their Norwich centre, King’s Care (a weekly drop-in for homeless and vulnerably housed people) has been running for over 10 years. Last year they served over 650 different people; provided 2500 hot meals; serviced over 200 loads of laundry; and gave away over 150 sets of clothes.
In Kenya they were able to help people like George (name changed) and his family, who were trapped in poverty with lack of shelter, food and proper sanitation. Through the SACCO (Saving and Credit Cooperative) that they support, George was able to access financial investment as well as business coaching to enable him to start his potato farming business. He now earns enough money to support his family and employ others in his community.
Of the many businesses who use the King’s Centre’s central location on a regular basis; everyone is helping to support the great causes sponsored by King’s. Whether it’s stopping off for a coffee, lunch or meeting a friend, to holding a meeting day or booking your company AGM or conference. Using the facilities available at the King’s Centre is such a worthwhile cause we hope you’ll support it as much as we do.
